I'm looking for a position that will enable me to apply my rheological skills.


I’m currently pursuing a masters degree at University of
Massachusetts,Amherst in Mechanical engineering due to graduate by summer 2011.




My experience is technically diverse and multidisciplinary.
Strong background in experimental research has made me well versed with
hands-on work such as fabrication, making experimental setups and lithography.
During my internship at Teijin Aramid B.V I collaborated with research groups
from TUDelft and learnt to balance academic interests with corporate research. I
have worked in various labs specializing in microfluidics, polymer rheology and
process control, this has increased my ability to critically analyze and solve
problems from different fields. At Teijin I learnt how high performance fibres
are being made and worked on how to increase the process efficiency of PPTA
spinning. My experience in rheology is diverse as I have worked with flexible
chain, rigid rods and surfactant systems in complex flow conditions consisting
of mixed shear and elongation. This has enabled me to understand deeply the
relationship between chemical structure and macroscopic rheological response of
these materials in complex flow conditions.



Motivation towards this position is my passion for
technology and solving abstract problems. I would be able to travel as per the
requirements of the project with pleasure. Having lived in Europe, USA and Asia
makes my social experience multicultural and I can connect with people from
various countries with ease. I would like to work for your company as my
learning curve is higher and provides me the opportunity to diversify into
other fields.
